Our newest celebrity interview is up at BeforeTheBigBreak.com!

CONGRATULATIONS MY DEAREST ANNE-MARIE FOR "MAXIM-IZING" EVERYTHING YOU LEARNED AT UNSTOPPABLE ARTISTS AND BECOMING SUCH A HUGE SUCCESS!

Hey hey everyone,

How exciting is this?!

Right this very second, brighten your day, and watch my beautiful client, former student, and close friend Anne-Marie Stefani (who is now a dancer with the NY Jets Flight Crew) starring in a super sexy 5-minute workout video on Maxim.com.  Watch her take Maxim through the hot NY Jets Flight Crew workout!

WATCH IT RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW: http://www.maxim.com/contests/reebok/videos.aspx

When Anne-Marie was just about 18 years old, I was 23, and she and I met when we both decided to take a soap opera acting class in New York City.  I fell madly in love, hit on her constantly, and well, after repeatedly being shot down even after getting down on one knee before deploying to Iraq (so heartbroken), I realized that I still had to remain friends with this amazing girl despite my unrequited crush.  I'm sure glad I did, because ultimately, she and her then boyfriend (now husband--sorry guys!) took my five-week business and marketing career course for actors.  We became even closer friends, I ended up at her wedding (jealous as can be, haha!), and most recently, last year, she made the cut as one of the elite members of the NY Jets Flight Crew, and I was so proud of her.   Yes, the official dance team for the football team, the NY Jets.  And now, she's made it to Maxim. Wow.

Now, how did I help her out?  This is what she writes about me and how I helped her get where she is today, "I became an Unstoppable Artist after attending his school in 2003. Since then Monroe and I have always stayed in touch. He is always there to lend a helping hand, because he WANTS TO SEE YOU AT THE TOP! His course showed me how to drive forward and succeed. I learned to take risks and never give up on my dreams. If you take Monroe's class, then I will see YOU at the top!" -- Anne-Marie Stefani

Back then, all I had was my course, and a whole lot less experience.  Today, at 31 wise years of age, not only do I still teach workshops (come see me at AFTRA on March 17th), but I also run a full-fledged film school for those who want to learn how to produce their own projects.  Beyond that, I also work ONE-ON-ONE with clients to put together bang-up five year marketing, financial, and business career plans---for actors, artists, directors, entrepreneurs, authors, and musicians.  So yeah, I can help you put together your dreams too!
Ready to get started?  Call me for a free consultation: 914-481-1641..

Want more info?  Feel free to check out more testimonials at both UnstoppableArtists.com and also ActorsFilmSchool.com

Still hesitating?  Work with me already!  Let me help you!  I am at your service!  I can help you like no one has ever helped you before, and I guarantee you will never find anyone quite like me to add to your team.  Not only have I helped Anne-Marie with her career from a business, marketing, and career standpoint, but come next year, I have plans to become her entertainment attorney as well (and she's excited about my plans too!)  And how exciting is this: you too can have me in your corner.  The sooner you bring me on board, the more likely I will be able to help you out.  It's easy: just get started today in one of three different ways:

a) Enroll in my most amazing 8-week (Saturdays-only) film school program starting on March 28th for only $1875 (via affordable payment plan) or $1500 if paid for up front.
b) Become a coaching client of mine for $750 (5-week standard) or $375 (3-week jumpstart)
c) Or for the lowest outlay of cash, purchase some of my books: "The Theatrical Juggernaut", "Guerrilla Networking", "Battle Cries for the Underdog"---and READ THEM (don't just put them on your shelf).

IT'S TIME TO MAKE 2009 YOUR BEST YEAR EVER OKAY?   GET OFF YOUR DAMN ASS, STOP BEING LAZY, AND DO WHAT YOU KNOW YOU NEED TO DO!!!! IT'S NOT ROCKET SCIENCE PEOPLE; IT'S SOMETHING CALLED DETERMINATION.  ARE YOU OBSESSED ENOUGH TO MAKE IT?  TIME SURELY WILL TELL...  AND YES, I CAN HELP YOU SPEED UP TIME.

Meet you at the top!

25 Random Things About Me

So this is the latest thing everyone is doing on Facebook.  It's up there on my profile (on FB), but figured I would post it here on my official blog as well.  Enjoy!

1) My full name is Monroe Yale Mann, Jr.

2) I am a PADI Advanced Open Water SCUBA Diver

3) I feel like God's mission for me in life is to inspire as many people as possible to go after their dreams with a vengeance.

4) I get a check for $240 every month, tax free, because of my injuries sustained while serving in Iraq with the Army

5) I am a Scorpio

6) I now wear invisilign retainers for the next four months to make my teeth poifectly straight

7) In elementary school, I was one of the coolest kids. Everyone loved me. In middle and high school, something happened, and I was picked on constantly. I was even shoved in a locker once. Given wedgies. Pushed. Shoved. Made fun of. I lost all of my self confidence. College helped to bring it back. Living in Europe for two years strengthened me even more. Finally, basic training in the army forged me into the unstoppable force I try to be today. I had a strange childhood...

8) I am one of the loneliest people in the world and often feel there is no one I can talk to who understands me or really even cares.

9) My 2009 top five goals are to successfully finish another year of law school, finish and publish four more books, get my band back together and perform again!, get my film school and coaching business supremely profitable, and either buy a condo or bring the total amount in my real estate fun to $10,000

10) I secretly want to get a tattoo

11) I just bought anatomy flash cards---just for fun, to learn about the body

12) One of my dreams is to get my PhD (after law school) and spend my July every year teaching at Franklin College in Switzerland

13) I have finally become a regular speaker at AFTRA, one of the three unions for actors, thanks to a generous introduction last year by my friend and fellow actor/director Jeff Goldstein

14) I think I am going to run for office one day

15) I absolutely detest sushi.

16) I miss my two sisters tremendously. Sort of. Not really. Maybe on some days. Not sure.

17) I often wistfully wonder why I have not yet made it to the 'top' of showbusiness, and how many more years it is going to take me to get there.

18) Beneath my gung-ho confident never-say-day public persona, I am pretty self-conscious, scared, and worried.

19) I learned this past year that I absolutely DETEST doing publicity for people other than myself, and even with a law degree, I do not want to be anyone's talent manager. Glad I learned that now, before I got too involved, and before it became too late!

20) I really want to become fluent in at least five different languages. I'm there with French, and close with Italian. I'd like Chinese, Portuguese, and maybe Arabic to come next.

21) I really should be doing law homework and my accounting in Quickbooks for the last month, but instead, I am writing the 25th random thing about me. I really have no idea why.

22) I once had a cute little shih-tzu named Ming Du.

23) My dad turned 87 years old today. His birthday is February 2, 1922. He still works 9 - 6PM six days a week as an 87-year-old attorney, and I hope that I have his genes in that regard!

24) I am studying to take my sailing navigation exam again this spring. I took it in the fall and missed passing by a few questions, so hope to nail it this time.

25) I just read a biography about Captain Kidd, the alleged pirate. Turns out: he was NOT a pirate, he was framed, the British legal system completely broke down, and he was hanged for crimes he never committed, and today, everyone thinks 'pirate' whenever they hear 'Captain Kidd' and gosh, that is SUCH a shame. Captain Kidd was not a pirate!!!!!! The book is great: "Captain Kidd: The Pirate Hunter"

Tha-tha-tha-that's all folks!

The 5-Minute Rule, Cool Tips, and Film School Starts NEXT Saturday

Film School Starts Next Saturday, the 5-Minute Rule, and Cool Tips Inside

Hi Everyone!

Before I get to the 5-minute rule, I wanted to let you know that if you are interested in my Actors Film School program, the cost is only $1500, and there is still room for two more students in the January class starting this Saturday, the 17th.  The next start dates are: Saturday, March 28th; and Saturday, May 30th.  I have 2 people already interested in the March class, and one in the May class.  Give me a ring on my cell if you'd like more info: 646-764-1764.

Now, let's get into the 5-minute rule.  But first, you need to learn something even more important: WINNERS DO IT NOW.

WISDOM: Winners Do It Now!

What this means is that as soon as you realize you need to do something… DO IT.  Don't wait even for a moment to consider whether you have the time.  JUST DO IT.  When?  Right now, this second.  Immediately.
Some of you might be thinking, "But there are some things I just physically cannot do right now---the task is too big!" Well, there's your problem.  Break down the size of your tasks into 5-minute tasks.  I call this the 5-Minute Rule (not to be confused with the 10-Second Rule, which comes up later in the book).

WISDOM: The 5-Minute Rule (i.e.., if you can't do it in five minutes…)

In other words, if you think about something that you need to do, and then think immediately afterwards, "I don't have enough time to do that," then you're shooting yourself in the foot before you even leave the starting gate.  Let's say your mission is to write a book.  Of course you can't write a book in 5 minutes.  To even think about 'where to start' is overwhelming and scary and downright impractical: it's a rare man indeed who can write a book in less than 5 minutes.
However, what are some of the things you could do in five minutes that would lead you towards ultimately writing a book. Let's see:
Could you write out a list of ten potential books in five minutes?  Yup! So do that.
Could you then write out the draft of the table of contents in five minutes?  Yup! So do that next.
Could you then write the back cover blurb that you find on the back of most books in five minutes?  Yup!  There's you ne xt 5-minute task.
And so on.  The idea is to break down all of you incredibly ambitious and insurmountable dreams into easily digestibly 5-minute tidbits.  Whenever I embark on a huge project, I always start with the finish line, and then work backwards until I have the entire project broken down into childishly simple 5-minute chunks that I can do in my sleep (or heck, even when I haven't had any sleep).  The idea is to put your success plan on autopilot.  (NOTE: The above text is an excerpt from my upcoming books, "Yes I Do Sleep" and also "The Artist's MBA", coming out this summer.)

Finally, folks, I wanted to share some cool tips and tricks I learned recently

First, check out www.copytalk.com.  Basically, you call the number, dictate what you need to say, and in less than 4 hours, an email transcription of exactly what you said is sent back to you.  My friend Peter Bielagus turned me onto this tool---I am using it to transcribe all of my journals from my time in Iraq without having to type them, which is laboriously slow.  Now, I spend 30 minutes a day just talking into my cell phone as I read aloud from my journals, and voila, later in the day, I just cop y and paste the emails into Word and press 'save'.  Cool, eh?

Second, do you hate typing?  If you have Windows Vista, did you know that it has dictation software built in?  If you have a microphone and Vista, just type the words, 'Speech' into the search menu and voila, you'll be talking instead of typing in no time.

Third, do you wish you had money to go back to school?  Guess what?  You do.  It's called government loans.  Wait, before you roll your eyes, think about this: a) it only takes 10 minutes to fill out the FAFSA aid application online; b) you can get up to $220,000+ for higher education; c) you don't have to pay back a dime of the loan until 6-months AFTER you leave school; and d) you will end up with a higher paying job and/or better opportunities as a result.  Right now, I am about $175,000 in student debt, and it's rising, and I don't care.  As a result of this debt, I now have a masters of entrepreneurship; I am 18 months away from receiving my JD/MBA degree; and as soon as I do, I am starting my 4-year PhD in business leadership.  Why so much education?  For all the reasons I mentioned above: a) it's easy to get approved; b) the money is there; c) I don't have to pay any of it back until AFTER I finish my PhD in 2014; and d) these degrees are going to make me so rich that paying back the loans is going to be a piece of cake.  So... please, for your future's sake, go back to school and get a degree in something truly bankable, i.e. doctor, lawyer, dentist, accountant, etc. and in 5 years, look back (from your Hawaii beach house) and think, "Wow, Monroe sure was right!  I am SO glad I listened to him."

Well, that's it for now!

Oh, for those who are on the edge regarding my film school, I gotta tell you something.  I really believe that Actors Film School is my crowning achievement.  I feel like everything I have been learning and doing over the last 8 years has culminated in this amazing program.  Actors Film School is no doubt the coolest program I have ever created, and I AM SO STOKED AND EXCITED!  Seriously, check this out: I have seamlessly integrated film school, acting school, editing school, business school, law school, and a Tony Robbins seminar all into one amazing, life-changing, and---here's the best part---affordable program.  Please read this entire email, including the testimonials at the bottom---I think by the end of it I will have convinced you to interview for one of the 2 remaining slots in the January course, or one of the remaining slots for the March course.

Need more incentive?  Here are the three testimonials from the last three students who just completed the course this past December:

Testimonial from Arthur Brown, Writer/Producer/Director/and Star of "The Return of Captain Schticklach"

"I am writing to endorse Monroe Mann's Actor's Film School.  In the course of seven weeks, we've written original scripts, broken them down by shot, used a unique system for determining props costume and cast, studied lighting technique, as well as proper camera usage – and most importantly – completed our films! Monroe is both knowledgeable and inspirational – guiding us, in an extremely organized and foresighted fashion – to a result-driven process incorporating the best practices of film-making."

Testimonial from Ryan White, Writer/Producer/Director/and Co-Star of "Yes I Can"

"I love this course! Monroe really sets everyone up for success. I love all of the simple yet powerful tips I have learned in the short time I have been attending this course about acting, filmmaking, and running a business, and creating a successful career.  One of the best things about the program is that it is so flexible to each person's needs.  Not only that, but it's loads of fun!  I recommend it to anyone who is interested in a career in acting and filmmaking.  Seriously, Monroe, thank you so much for presenting your ideas and philosophies to me and the=2 0rest of the class. You have great energy, and your passion for life and all its possibilities and success is amazing.  During the class portion, I loved what you shared on speaking your accomplishments and not being afraid to sell your services.  During the production portion, I loved how hands-on it all was, and how we all were a part of our fellow classmates' films.  I really loved being a part of your film program because I know that working with successful people is so important.  And I believe in you.  Thanks again."

Testimonial from James Oliver, Writer/Producer/Director/and Star of "Mahiana"

"I met Monroe at a seminar where he was teaching a workshop on how to produce your own projects, and was very impressed by his drive and willingness to excel at everything he does.  I joined the film class in an attempt to improve on my voice acting for voice over gigs.  Little did I know how much more I would be getting by enrolling in Actors Film School.  In addition to improving my acting voice, I have also learned how to write my own screenplay, how to direct a film, and how to act in films.  As a producer, I have lear ned the importance of preparation and organization.  The coolest thing about the class besides the close friendships you establish is the hands-on interaction.  No sitting in a boring class room setting.  It's "on the move" fun and a relaxing atmosphere, despite the rigorousness of the program.  Also, you're not left out there on your own.  Everyone has a stake in seeing your project through to the end, and Monroe makes sure you not only write your screenplay, but is there with you on set every step of the way helping you to produce it, and is there helping you through the editing process as well.  Great job Monroe... rock on!"

Super Inspiring TRUE Story.

Hi Everyone!

My friend Susan Ayalin just sent this to me.  While the ending of the story has a religious overtone (that I myself believe, incidentally), don't let that prevent you from reading the story.  The point of the story is applicable to us all, especially those who know New York City, regardless of our religious beliefs.  I was going to give you a heads up about what it's all about, but that would give away the surprise ending.  Enjoy!

One stormy night many years ago, an elderly couple entered the lobby
of a small hotel and asked for a room. The clerk explained that
because three conventions were in town, the hotel was full. "But I
can't send a nice couple like you out in the rain at 1:00 a.m.," he
said. "Would you be willing to sleep in my room?"

The couple hesitated, but the clerk insisted. The next morning, when
the man paid his bill, he said, "You're the kind of manager who should
be the boss of the best hotel in the United States. Maybe someday I'll
build one for you." The clerk smiled, amused by the older man's
remark.

A few years passed and one day, the clerk received a letter from the
elderly man, recalling that stormy night, and asking him to come to
New York for a visit. A round-trip ticket was enclosed.  When the
clerk arrived, his host took him to the corner of 5th Avenue and 34th
Street, where stood a magnificent new building. "This is the hotel I
have just built for you to manage," said the man.

"You've got to be joking," said the clerk. "Who are you?"

"My name is William Waldorf Astor," said the man. "And I'm most
certainly not joking."

That hotel was the original Waldorf-Astoria, and the young clerk, who
became its first manager, was George C. Boldt. The Bible is very clear
that in the end, we will be rewarded for our faithfulness to the call
of Jesus Christ with a lifetime in heaven for eternity.

It's Monroe again.  What a great story, right?  What's the point: DO THE RIGHT THING.  GO ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY.  TREAT PEOPLE THE WAY YOU WOULD WANT TO BE TREATED.  Do all these things, and guess what?  You may end up with your very own hotel too!

While I have your attention, if you are interested in my Actors Film School program, the cost is only $1500, and there is still room for two more students in the January class starting this Saturday, the 17th.  The next start dates are: Saturday, March 28th; and Saturday, May 30th.  I have 2 people already interested in the March class, and one in the May class.  Give me a ring on my cell if you'd like more info about the school, or about my one-on-one career, financial, and marketing coaching programs: 646-764-1764, or visit   www.ActorsFilmSchool.com.

10 Reasons Why You Should Be In Actors Film School on Jan 10th

Hi Everyone.  Look, I gotta tell you something.

Here they--the top ten reasons you should enroll in my film school:

# 10 --> You will learn how to write, produce, direct, star in, and edit your very own films from start to finish
# 9 --> A good director knows how to act on film; and a good film actor should know how to direct--you will learn to be a pro at both.
# 8 --> The production value of the films you are going to make are very high (decide for yourself)
# 7 --> It's the most affordable film school in the country at only $1500
# 6 --> It's on Saturdays, for only 8 weeks, and in fact, you will learn MORE than you will learn at most other film schools
# 5 --> You get to act--not only in your own film--but in all of your fellow students' films too!
# 4 --> You leave with a professionally edited acting reel of your work, plus a DVD of all finished films
# 3 --> Your films and performances will be entered into the Actors Film School Film Festival for an opportunity to win both Manny Awards and Juggernaut Awards
# 2 --> Your finished films will be screened at the beautiful 140-seat Helen Mill Theater on 26th and 8th.
# 1 --> You will learn everything you need to take Hollywood by storm--as an actor, writer, director, and/or producer-- and will leave with a 5-year business, marketing, financial, and career strategy that you will be developing during the course.

In the course of seven weeks, we've written original scripts, broken them down by shot, used a unique system for determining props costume and cast, studied lighting technique, as well as proper camera usage – and most importantly – completed our=2 0films!

Seriously, Monroe, thank you so much for presenting your ideas and philosophies to me and the rest of the class. You have great energy, and your passion for life and all its possibilities and success is amazing.  During the class portion, I loved what you shared on speaking your accomplishments and not being afraid to sell your services.  During the production portion, I loved how hands-on it all was, and how we all were a part of our fellow classmates' fi lms.

As a producer, I have learned the importance of preparation and organization.  The coolest thing about the class besides the close friendships you establish is the hands-on interaction.  No sitting in a boring class room setting.  It's "on the move" fun and a relaxing atmosphere, despite the rigorousness of the program.  Also, you're not left out there on your own.  Everyone has a stake20in seeing your project through to the end, and Monroe makes sure you not only write your screenplay, but is there with you on set every step of the way helping you to produce it, and is there helping you through the editing process as well.  Great job Monroe... rock on!"

Drum roll please...

# 10.  WRITE AND PUBLISH YOUR BOOK ALREADY (or publish a NEW one!)
A published book available at Amazon & Barnes and Noble is without a doubt one of your biggest credibility builders.  It establishes you as an authority.  It makes you an expert.  It makes you COOL!!!!  (And they are a great way to make passive income through royalties.)  Whether it's a non-fiction book, an exciting new novel, or even a children's book, you owe it to yourself to finally do what you have always dreamed about.  I can help you write it, find the best publisher, and sell it across the globe.  Given that one of my last books, 'Guerrilla Networking' hit the Barnes & Noble bestseller list, it should be clear that I am an authority on writing, publishing, and marketing your awesome new book.  Call me today at 914-481-1641 or reply to this email to discuss your unique situation for 20 minutes at no charge and let's get your new year off to a great start!  My 5-week one-on-one jumpstart program is only $750, and satisfaction is guaranteed!

# 9. CREATE & PRODUCE YOUR OWN BIG PROJECT
The biggest success stories in history are about those who took the bull by its horns and made their own big breaks and opportunities.  Don't wait for someone to 'discover' you or make you successful---you've got to do it yourself.  It's time to produce your own films.  Write your own screenplays.  Present your own live musical events and seminars.  Open your own business.  Create your empire!  And the list goes on.  Do you have the ambition to speed up your success quotient?  Then call me today at 914-481-1641 or reply to this email to discuss your unique situation for 20 minutes at no charge and let's get your new year off to a great start!  My 5-week one-on-one jumpstart program is only $750, and satisfaction is guaranteed!

# 8. GAIN CONTROL OF YOUR FINANCES ONCE AND FOR ALL
Far too many people think that they are going to 'wait until they are rich' before learning how to properly manager their money.  That is backwards.  You are going to BECOME rich by learning how to manage your money.  Not only did I graduate with with my Masters in Entrepreneurship last May, but I'm now 2/3 through my Certified Financial Planner studies at Boston Institute of Finance.  My many clients have been reaping the benefits of my knowledge and expertise--they've been buying houses, investing in the stock market, setting up emergency savings account, establishing trust funds, and heck, they even know how to balance their checkbooks---what a concept!  Call me today at 914-481-1641 or reply to this email to discuss your unique situation for 20 minutes at no charge and let's get your new year off to a great start!  My 5-week one-on-one jumpstart program is only $750, and satisfaction is guaranteed!

# 7. PUT TOGETHER A KICKASS MARKETING PLAN
This past year, I was invited as a guest onto 'The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch'.  I did not find them; they found me, and they called me, and they invited me.  Now THAT is marketing.  Another story?  Last year, I put together a strategic marketing plan with the help of over 20 joint venture partners to get my book 'Guerrilla Networking' (co-written with Jay Conrad Levinson) to the # 1 spot on Barnes & Noble's 'business life and careers' best seller list.  Pretty cool too.  Here's another: just yesterday (January 2nd), I got invited to be a guest on the 4th largest radio station in California, with a broadcast range from Los Angeles down to Baja, Mexico.  Cool, huh?  Well, as a certified Guerrilla Marketing Coach, I can help you put together a similarly successful marketing strategy for your own business and career endeavors.  Call me today at 914-481-1641 or reply to this email to discuss your unique situation for 20 minutes at no charge and let's get your new year off to a great start!  My 5-week one-on-one jumpstart program is only $750, and satisfaction is guaranteed!

# 6. GET RID OF YOUR SHORT-TERM MENTALITY
Planning is the key to career success.  Without it, your situation resembles that of an empty rudderless ship floating on a lake--you can't tell where the ship has been, or where it is going.  Career planning--and I mean long-term ten years in the future career planning--gives direction to your career and business dreams.  It is often said that the reason poor people are poor is because they operate using a 1 - 3 month mentality whereas the millionaires of the world operate using a 7 - 10 year mentality.  Isn't it time you put together a long-term business strategy for your life, career, and business?  Call me today at 914-481-1641 or reply to this email to discuss your unique situation for 20 minutes at no charge and let's get your new year off to a great start!  My 5-week one-on-one jumpstart program is only $750, and satisfaction is guaranteed!

# 5. LEARN HOW TO MANAGE TIME LIKE A PRO
Every week, someone asks me for my time management secrets.  It seems everyone is in awe of all that I am able to accomplish.  For example, right now, I am getting ready to start teaching my second class section of Actors Film School; I just bought my books for my 4th semester of law school starting next week; I am finishing up the budget for our (me, Ronnie Khalil, Bob Madia) feature-length horror script, "The Quiet" which we plan to start shooting this spring; I am enrolled in my last 3 months of studies at Boston Institute of Finance; I am continuing meetings with my partner Phil Malandrino and a German hedge fund about their investing in a number of our projects; I am editing the next episode of my celebrity talk-show, "Before the Big Break"; I am finishing up three new books; I am preparing for my next two speaking engagements at AFTRA; and this list goes on and on!  Folks, believe it or not, I'm not superman, and yes, I do sleep (and incidentally, that's the name of my upcoming new time management book--'Yes, I Do Sleep')  Anyway, the secret is in how I manage my time, and how I have taught myself to maximize every minute of every hour.  Best part?  My techniques are very easy to use.  Call me today at 914-481-1641 or reply to this email to discuss your unique situation for 20 minutes at no charge and let's get your new year off to a great start!  My 5-week one-on-one jumpstart program is only $750, and satisfaction is guaranteed!

# 4. GET MORE ORGANIZED AND FOCUSED THAN EVER BEFORE
Side by side with time management is organization and focus.  It doesn't matter how well you manage your time if you are not focused and organized in your approach.  Solid organization is KEY to good time management because the more organized you are, the more quickly you can find things and get things done.  The more organized you are, the more trust other people have in you and the more likely other people will want to work with you.  The more organized you are, the better you feel about yourself in general and the more confident you become!  Wouldn't you like to become more organized and focused than ever before?  Call me today at 914-481-1641 or reply to this email to discuss your unique situation for 20 minutes at no charge and let's get your new year off to a great start!  My 5-week one-on-one jumpstart program is only $750, and satisfaction is guaranteed!

# 3. INVENT SOMETHING AMAZING
Did you know that Thomas Edison held over 1000 patents?  Isn't that so cool?  Wouldn't it be just as cool if you yourself held some patents?  Even just one?  Okay, I bet a bunch of you are thinking that it costs upwards of $5000 to secure a patent.  If so, you'd be 100% mistaken.  You see, in 1996, congress and Clinton signed a  bill that created something called the Provisional Patent Application.  By filling out the one-page form and then writing up a few pages about your patent, and sending it in to the patent office, you can claim 'patent pending' status for one year.  During that time, you can talk freely to everyone and anyone to get a licensing agreement.  Best part, it only cost... $125.  Yes, only one hundred and twenty-five dollars.  As for me, I have a new invention patent pending right now that I am currently proposing to Timex, Hammacher Schlemmer, Brookstone, etc.  What about your great ideas?  Call me today at 914-481-1641 or reply to this email to discuss your unique situation for 20 minutes at no charge and let's get your new year off to a great start!  My 5-week one-on-one jumpstart program is only $750, and satisfaction is guaranteed!

# 2. MAKE MORE MONEY
This is a no brainer, right!  2009 has just GOT to be the year that you make more money, yes?  And I can help!  It has been proven that most millionaires in America made their fortune through one of three ways: 1) Stock Market, 2) Real Estate, and most frequently, through 3) Their Own Business.  These people took their money from other sources and invested in one or all of these three paths to riches, and voila, after years of hard work, they 'suddenly' woke up as millionaires.  Sure, it's not easy, but it is certainly doable, and all of my clients (including myself) are on similar paths and it would be a pleasure for me to help you create a personalized long-term financial strategy for you; one that will lead you too towards the millionaire's circle.  Do you want to get on that same path to riches and financial freedom?  Call me today at 914-481-1641 or reply to this email to discuss your unique situation for 20 minutes at no charge and let's get your new year off to a great start!  My 5-week one-on-one jumpstart program is only $750, and satisfaction is guaranteed!

# 1. CALL MONROE MANN TODAY FOR YOUR FREE 20-MINUTE CONSULTATION!
Folks, if these preceding nine new years resolutions haven't convinced you that it's worth your time to become a client of mine, then please just give me the benefit of the doubt and talk to me.  I'm a nice guy!  I won't bite, I promise!  Seriously, just do it already.  Pick up the phone or respond to this email and talk to me today.  You've got nothing to lose.  Doesn't the life you have always dreamed of deserve to become a reality for you in 2009?  I don't know about you, but 2009 for me is going to be the best year of my life.  Go on, take the plunge with me and give me a call today at 914-481-1641 or reply to this email to discuss your unique situation for 20 minutes at no charge and let's get your new year off to a great start!  My 5-week one-on-one jumpstart program is only $750, and satisfaction is guaranteed!

I. RESOLVE, TENACITY, AND DETERMINATION

(an excerpt from Chapter 4 of, "The Theatrical Juggernaut -The Psyche of the Star" by Monroe Mann)

"The best time to give it your all is when you've got nothing more to give," I wrote in my journal one day.  What does it mean?  It means that when the going gets tough, the tough get going.  It means that when you want to give up (You forgot to diversify!), that is when you will the most resourceful and clear-headed.  It's at this moment of truth when you realize that it's either all or nothing; do or don't do; all the way or no way at all.

Over the last six years, I have thought about quitting numerous times.  Like when?  Some examples that come to mind are when my band broke up for the first time, when I was sent off to Intelligence School with the Army, when I was told that I look like 'an elf' by an agent told never to pursue modeling, when my key multi-million dollar investor backed out of financing my movie, or most recently, when I was deployed to Iraq for a year and a half and watched my business crumble, my band break up--a second time--and my entire life get turned upside down as I set off into a combat zone.  As I would read my journal entries from all of these desperate times, I began to see a pattern: When at my wits end, there were only two decisions I gave myself.  I thought about either quitting absolutely and going to law school like my dad wanted, or resolving to double my efforts and really show this town who I was.  As you can surmise, I always choose the latter option.  The second edition of 'The Theatrical Juggernaut' that you are reading is but one of the results!  But as it turns out, I very well may be getting my law degree anyway, simply because I now realize that it would certainly help me in Hollywood.  [ed. note: funny that now I indeed am actually in law school and am finding that it was one of the best career moves I could have made!]

Truly, I have wanted to quit at least six or seven times just this past year, i.e. yes, this year.  And if you say you haven't wanted to quit, then either you're a liar, or you are not risking enough.  Anyway, in this periods of despair--absolute utter despair, I assure you--I face (yes even now) feelings that I will never get anywhere in this stupid business and that the world stinks and that I should just quit.  There are only two options when in this absolutely assured mire.

When on the verge of total emotional breakdown from the harsh rejection of this business, you can only do one of two things.  You can either quit, like the others before you, and say you tried, or you can resolve to kick into overdrive, double your efforts, and this time, really try.

The best time to give it your all is when you've got nothing more to give.  When they say no, you say, yes.  When they say stop, you say, go.

Simply said: do not give up when others tell you to.

I have noticed that my greatest accomplishments came soon after I decided I was not going to quit.  At these moments, I always resolved that I was going to try again like never before.  Suddenly, things began to happen.

Pick up your copy of The Theatrical Juggernaut at Drama Book Shop, Amazon, BN, or in an e-book version available at UnstoppableArtists.com

III. WHY MY ACTORS FILM SCHOOL CLASS IS SO AWESOMELY DIFFERENT

It's official: Actors Film School is a hit!  8 weeks ago, class began with 4 students.  Each wrote, produced, directed, starred in, and edited his own film.  The films are now available for viewing on facebook, youtube, and at ActorsFilmSchool.com.  How about that?  A film school that requires every student to actually finish their film--what a groundbreaking concept!  And each student leaves with an acting reel of his/her best scenes from each film.  Are you ready to join in the fun?  The next session starts on Saturday, January 10th.  I have combined everything I usually teach in my inspirational business course into a film school where you write your script, produce it, direct it, STAR in it, AND where you are required to co-star in all the other films as well.  Each script MUST be under 3 pages.  Each film WILL be completed at the end of the seven-week course.  In fact, your film WILL be submitted to film festivals at the end of the course, posted on YouTube, posted up on the Loco Dawn Films website, and shared with the world.  Oh, and you'll leave with an acting reel with your best moments from all the films as well.  Did I mention you also leave with a 10-year business, marketing, and financial strategy as well?  If this sounds great, register for the next class, starting in mid-January, on Saturdays, from 2 - 6PM, and for a limited time, still for only $1500!!!  Check out www.ActorsFilmSchool.com for more information!

IV.  WATCH OUR 'BIG BREAK' INTERVIEW WITH TIM WESTERGREN!

We are soooo proud to share with you our latest Before the Big Break interview, this time with Tim Westergren, the founder of the music site, Pandora.com.  Are you curious how Tim persevered to create a million dollar company from absolutely nothing?  How he found his first investors?  How Tim came to the realization that he had to step down as CEO and hire someone with more experience to keep up with the growth?  Well, wonder no longer!  The answers are all here in our exclusive on-camera interview at www.BeforeTheBigBreak.com, and on our celebrity blog right there on the site!

I. THREE QUICK MARKETING SUCCESS TIPS:

1. Your marketing angle = "Why you are different."(tm)  Think long and hard, and determine why you, your services, and your company are 100% unique.  Think about it: if you are NOT 100% unique, then you really don't have much of a marketing angle, do you?  90% of your time should be spent figuring this out.
2. Your marketing plan = "How you tell people you are different."(tm)  There are only two ways to tell people you are different: either through Advertising, or through Publicity.  That's it.  How do you come up with your marketing plan?  Easy---if your marketing angle is good, and specific enough, your marketing plan will be obvious to you.  Only spend 10% of your time figuring out your marketing plan.
3. C.C.C.(tm) = Cost, Credibility, and Control.  Meaning what?  Meaning those are the differences between advertising and publicity.  Advertising costs money, publicity does not; Advertising offers little credibility, and publicity offers a lot; and Advertising gives total control, publicity gives you very little control.  Make sense?  THIS is why you have to use both advertising AND publicity in your marketing plan.  If you only use one, you are inevitably missing one of the three C's.  So learn about publicity and advertising BOTH today!

Summary: if you don't have a good marketing angle, the only thing your marketing plan will succeed in doing is 'telling everyone that you're NOT different.'  Who wants to work with someone like that?

II. NEW "BEFORE THE BIG BREAK INTERVIEW"

We are soooo proud to share with you our latest Before the Big Break interview, this time with Dan Lurie, 3-time Mr. America's Most Muscular Man (and co-star with Ed McMahon on Sealtest Bigtop) Are you curious how Dan persevered to become Most Muscular Mann three years in a row?  How Dan turned a business he started in his mom's basement into a national phenomenon?  How Dan ended up becoming Lou Ferigno's personal trainer?  Well, wonder no longer!  The answers are all here in our exclusive on-camera interview: www.BeforeTheBigBreak.com, and on our celebrity blog right there on the site!

III. INSPIRING STORY

Question: "So, how did you become a movie star?"
Answer: "I decided to go to law school."

For years, I fought against following in my parents' footsteps: I did NOT want to become a lawyer.  I wanted to become an actor!  If I became a lawyer, then I wouldn't be an actor anymore, right?!  I would limit my opportunities because no one would take me seriously as an actor, right?  Well, I was wrong.  And that's why I ultimately decided to start law school last year.  And now, I am halfway done.  And as a result, my acting career is actually benefiting in ways I never imagined.  First, my businesss partner Phil Malandrino and I are negotiating now with a huge hedge fund in Germany--they want us to head up the North American film financing wing of their operation.  Part of that is because they trust me--an attorney to be.  And if Phil and I control the pursestrings for film financing, who do you think is going to be getting acting parts in those films?  Second, and this story just happened today.  It started last year.  Here's the progression of events: Fall 2007--I started law school; Summer 2008--I meet a lawyer auditing one of my classes who knows the marketing director for the White Plains Performing Arts Center.  This lawyer became my friend, and thought highly enough of me to introduce me to Bruce at the Performing Arts Center.  Next, Bruce introduces me to casting director Michael Cassara, because he finds out I'm an actor, that I run a company involved in showbusiness, and because he thought Michael and I might be able to help one another out.  Well, today, Michael returned my call, and on Friday, I am meeting with him--to discuss how my role as actor, producer, publicist/manager, and attorney-to-be can potentially help him.  Will I bring my headshot?  Of course.  Will I bring a copy of my acting reel?  Of course.  Will I potentially get some auditions through Michael Cassara now for my acting career?  Absolutely.  Did law school get in the way of this happening?  No way!  In fact, it's only BECAUSE of law school that I have that meeting on Friday. How do you like them apples?

THE LESSON: don't limit yourself.  Instead, bring all of your diverse interests together focused on a single goal.  I call it 'synergistic diversification'(tm).  Do lots of things (write books, start a band, join the army, etc) and make sure they all help you reach your ultimate goal.  Don't let people brainwash you into 'focusing'---the only thing you should focus on is the END; the 'means' is a whole other story.  Don't assume that you know the straight line road to the top; guess what: YOU DON'T.  This is why most people who try to 'make it' never end up 'making it'.  So instead, be open to the distinct possibility that the road you take to the top will be more winding than you could ever imagine.  "Hey, so how did you become a movie star?"  "By going to law school."  <---doesn't seem so far fetched anymore does it?

IV. WHY MY ACTORS FILM SCHOOL CLASS IS SO AWESOMELY DIFFERENT

It's official: Actors Film School is a hit!  Four weeks ago, class began with 4 students.  Each wrote, produced, directed, starred in, and is now editing his own film.  In about four weeks, each of those 4 films will be completed, and posted on the ActorsFilmSchool.com site, and on YouTube.  And each student will leave with an acting reel of his best scenes from each film.  Are you ready to join in the fun?  The next session starts on Saturday, January 10th.  I have combined everything I usually teach in my inspirational business course into a film school where you write your script, produce it, direct it, STAR in it, AND where you are required to co-star in all the other films as well.  Each film MUST be under 3-minutes. If this sounds great, register for the next class, starting in mid-January, on Saturdays, from 2 - 6PM, and for only $1500!!!  Check out www.ActorsFilmSchool.com for more information!
